Start with field ownership

Before connecting Kommo to forms, messaging tools, telephony, or internal systems, decide which system is the source of truth for each important field. Without that, sync logic becomes reactive and fragile.

Map the workflow, not just the data

Good integrations support business events. Ask what should trigger a lead creation, a stage change, a task assignment, or a notification. If that answer is unclear, the integration scope is not finished yet.

Plan for exceptions

  • What happens when duplicate leads arrive from different channels?
  • What happens when a required field is missing?
  • Who notices a failed sync, and what is the recovery path?
  • How will the team know whether automation caused the issue or the upstream source did?
